Situated on the site of the Montreal Olympic Stadium, the new Cinema Center has a total of 17 halls (Stadium style) is between the Biodome and the Maurice Richard Arena. The complex, administered by FAMOUS PLAYER’S is the first of a series of pavilions that will occupy large empty spaces of this immense quadrilateral, says Franco Ruccolo, the architect who designed the theaters. The building must integrate in this monumental environment creating a bond between the recreational architecture that comes to life at night, with its grand lighting and the advertising marquee. Says Ruccolo, that the two instances of the new building are remarkable. The cost of the project was 30,000,000$. |
