It was an evening filled with surprise and splendour as Canada’s own jeans king, Salvatore Parasuco celebrated his 50th birthday Friday, April 4th, 2003. Held at Montreal hot-spot TIME Supper Club, the exclusive event featured an invitation-only VIP list that included over 200 of Salvatore’s friends, family and industry guests. The event proved to be a night full of surprises as Salvatore was first greeted by fifty family members for a private dinner party, not realizing that this was only the beginning of the festivities to come. While Salvatore watched special video montages created by his family, VIP guests were escorted via a red-carpeted secret entrance lit with tiki torches. The real surprise unraveled at 9:30pm when renowned Quebec television personality, Sonia Benezra announced, "Salvatore Parasuco, dove sei?", at which point the curtain from the upstairs mezzanine was drawn to reveal over 150 guests who yelled "SURPRISE!" The guests who included, Sony Music Canada executive Bill Rotari, Sugar Jones’ Mirella Dell’Aquila, TV personality Sonia Benezra, and former MusiquePlus VJ Virginie Coosa, then joined Salvatore in celebration. In addition to the keepsake box filled with a chocolate chimera (Parasuco’s trademark insignia) and set of playing cards featuring the latest Parasuco photography, guests also left with wonderful memories of an unforgettable night - the ultimate celebration and homage to the "man behind the jeans," Salvatore Parasuco. He was presented with a FERRARI sports car for his birthday from his wife Rosa. In the photo we see Salvatore with his wife Rose. Nada cent’anno Salvatore.
