In 1964, Jean Vanier founded the first l'Arche community welcoming adults with a developmental disability at Trosly-Breuil in France. Today, l'Arche has over 100 communities throughout the world which join together to form the International Federation of l'Arche. To influence society by choosing to live relationships in community as a sign of hope and love.
