The annual judges congress was held last week at the Chateau Champlain in Montreal. This annual event brings together 270 judges from all over the province of Quebec. The organizer this year, The Honorable Antonio DeMichele said that this year they were asking for more autonomy in the administration of the courts. DeMichele went on to say that 80% of all cases heard in Quebec are done in “La cour du Quebec”.
