JACQUES FUOCO…
Jacques, my cousin was born in 1943 during the Second World War and in
the 1950’s and 60’s was a
superstar as
a young musician and singer here in La Belle Province. Jacques, and his
orchestra, travelled all of Quebec and neighbouring provinces to
entertain sell-out crowds for many years. See (www.fleursdevinyl.fr/pages/accuiel.html).
Click on F, then click on Jacques Fuoco. He translated and sang many of
Paul Anka tunes. He quit show business to marry his sweetheart, Denise,
whom he met at work, and together had two beautiful children. Michel and
Manon. Now that Jacques is an old-timer, his passion for singing has
returned. I heard some of his songs at his Mother’s funeral last week,
My Aunt Lucille Lafreniere Fuoco (89 y.o.) During the reception
afterwards, he confirmed that he will continue singing for family and
friends…"It keeps me young" said Fuoco, himself a grandfather of three. |
