FRCQ Easter 2004-Faithful to its tradition, the Family Resources Center of Quebec (F.R.C.Q.) held the 18th edition of its magnificent Easter Party for children aged from 4 to 6 from economically underprivileged areas. Over 300 children from the greater Montreal metropolitan area took part in this colourful activity where great emotions filled the air! The Easter Party took place from 9:30am to 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at the Holiday Inn Montreal Airport, located at 6500 Cote-de-Liesse in Dorval, with the collaboration of Mr Andrew Bougadis, General Manager of the hotel, and Mr Salvatore Mariani, Manager, Kirkland branch of the Scotia Bank, Patron of Honour of the event. Children from the Alphonse-Pesant School in St. Leonard, Sinclair-Laird School in Park Extension, Hubert-Perron School in Longueuil and Saint-Paul School in Chomedey, Laval were greeted at the main entrance of the Hotel by many clowns, mascots and surprise guests such as Prudent Bear from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Polix from the Sureté du Québec, Zeddy of Zellers, Nesquik of Nestlé, Prospere from the National Bank of Canada, without forgetting of course Lapine, the all-new F.R.C.Q. mascot, and our two amusing Easter Bunnies! The entertaining "Clowns du Carrousel" along with over 35 volunteers costumed for the occasion enchanted the children in a fairy-tale scenery set up by Serrano Studio. The children sang, danced, participated in various arts and crafts workshops, and hopped around in Proludik inflatable games, with the fun culminating in the traditional Easter Egg Hunt! Even more importantly, the children were served a wonderful and wholesome lunch. Each child also received delicious Easter chocolates and other gifts.
