The English Association of the Special needs Team organized a Dinner Gala which was held on Friday October 13, 2000 7:00PM at Buffet Cristina on Jarry Street east of Langelier. The Master of ceremony for that evening was Mr. Frank Cavallaro from CFCF TV. The primary purpose of the gala was to raise funds in order to develop a subsidized speech therapy/communication enhancement program for children identified with a moderate to severe language impairment. The EAST foundation was founded in response to meet scarcity of English language resources for disabled children and their families, who reside in the East End of Montreal.
