| CASA D’ITALIA XMAS PARTY…
On Wednesday December 16, 2009 CCPI-Casa d’Italia held a cocktail party
for its members, donors and friends. Over 140 guests attended the
evening. The event was held at St. George Church next to Casa d’Italia
due to the expansion and renovations currently underway. During the
course of the evening, members and guests witnessed the process of
making mosaics, discovered some drawings of Guido Nincheri and artefacts
and documents from the archives of Casa d’Italia and the Order Sons of
Italy that will eventually be displayed in the soon to come Museum. Gaby
Mancini, president of Casa d’italia, addressed the guests and stressed
the importance of coming together in the next months to support the
construction project. Amongst the guests was also Vittorio Rossi, author
of Paradise by the River, the play dealing with the
internment of Italians at Petawawa during the Second World War. In the
