The CIBPA will be celebrating an important milestone, 40 years of its
Bursary Program, a program that has been a tradition since 1961. Since its
creation, The CIBPA Bursary Program has granted over one and a half million
dollars to students of Italian origin who have achieved academic excellence
and who meet the established financial assistance criteria. The program is
unique among community-based business associations in Quebec and Canada, and
confirms the CIBPA’s long-standing commitment to education. The fact that
CIBPA has maintained this program for 40 years exemplifies its determination
concerning education.
This celebration will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at the new
Leonardo Da Vinci Centre,
8350 Lacordaire Boulevard in Montreal.
The CIBPA Bursary Program is open to full time university students at the
under-graduate, graduate or post-graduate studies level that are Canadian
citizens, recognized residents of the province of Quebec and are of Italian
origin. Students wishing to apply for a bursary can contact the CIBPA Office
